Our Ghana experience of extraordinary partnerships invites you into the living heart of Ghana’s creative traditions. Discover craft, community, and contemporary expression, woven together through generations of knowledge and making. Over ten days, we journey through Accra, Koforidua, and northern Ghana, moving between studios, workshops, markets, compounds, and kitchens, encountering the visionary artists and the communities who quietly sustain Ghana’s extraordinary creative legacy.
This journey is designed for travellers seeking hands-on experience, cultural depth, and meaningful connection through making.
At the core of this immersion is participation. You’ll learn traditional Ghanaian batik, stamp Adinkra symbols into cloth, mould recycled glass into beads, and plait fragrant veta vera under the guidance of master craftspeople. From a personal visit with our favourite tailor, to time spent at the Baba Tree compound in Bolgatanga, each experience is rooted in place, lineage, and shared practice.
The pieces you begin here - dyed cloth, hand-formed beads, woven baskets - are not souvenirs, but living artefacts, carrying both your story and the stories of the hands that taught you.
Throughout the journey, you’ll experience Ghana’s warmth, humour, and hospitality, and the brilliance of a culture where creativity is embedded in everyday life.
This is a journey that grounds you and gently reshapes how you see craft, value, and connection. You’ll leave Ghana not only inspired, but deeply initiated into the rhythms, relationships, and creative intelligence that make this place unforgettable.
